SolaX
Connecting a SolaX inverter over your local network.
This integration polls a SolaX inverter directly over your home network, without going through SolaX Cloud. Because it talks to the inverter itself, readings arrive on a short interval and don't depend on an internet connection or SolaX's own servers being up.
What it provides
- Live solar generation
- Live battery charge/discharge rate and state of charge (hybrid models)
- Live grid import/export
- House load, where the inverter reports it
The exact set of readings depends on your inverter model - a hybrid inverter with a battery reports more than a grid-tie-only unit.
Supported devices
metrd includes dedicated support for the following SolaX inverter families:
- X1-Boost
- X1-Boost Mini G4
- X1-Hybrid G1
- X1-Hybrid G4
- X1 Four MPPT
- X1 Split Phase
- X3-Hybrid G1
- X3-Hybrid G2
- X3-Hybrid G4
- X3-Hybrid G5
- X3-MIC
- X3-MIC Pro G2
- X3-20K/30K
Several hardware and firmware revisions of the same inverter family are handled automatically, so you shouldn't need to know your exact revision - just the general model. If your SolaX inverter isn't in this list, get in touch; new devices are added as they're requested.
Connecting
You'll need:
- The inverter's IP address on your local network
- Its local access password (set on the inverter's screen, or via the SolaX Cloud(opens in new tab) app under the inverter's Wi-Fi/network settings)
metrd polls the inverter on a regular interval to keep the display up to date. If a poll fails - a brief network hiccup, for instance - it retries automatically before the reading is marked as missing.
