Home Assistant
Send live values from metrd to Home Assistant.
Sends the live values of the devices you choose to Home Assistant, as sensors. metrd talks to Home Assistant directly; there's nothing to install on the Home Assistant side.
What you get
A sensor for each value a chosen device reports, named after the device, such as sensor.metrd_..._grid_import. Power, energy, battery, voltage, current, temperature, frequency, and cost sensors are given the matching Home Assistant device class and unit.
Values are sent when they change. Renaming a device in metrd renames its sensors. Removing a device from the list, disabling it, or disabling the integration removes its sensors from Home Assistant.
What you'll need
- The address you reach Home Assistant at, such as
http://homeassistant.local:8123 - A long-lived access token: in Home Assistant, open your profile, then Security, and create one under Long-lived access tokens
Settings
- Minimum Push Interval - the shortest gap between two sends, from once a second upwards
- Resend Interval - how often every value is sent again even if it hasn't changed
Sensors sent this way only last until Home Assistant restarts, so the resend brings them back afterwards.
Choosing devices
Open the integration and use Sent devices to add the devices to send. Each sent device's energy and cost totals are sent too.
